The House is an online escape game where you awake, disoriented, in a bedroom with no memory of how you got there. You sense that something is wrong. You drag yourself out of bed and glance out the window. Beyond it, chaos unfolds. Broken objects, buildings, trees and more float ominously in mid-air. Something feels unnatural in the atmosphere.  

In this adventure escape room game with a horror theme, you must search every corner of the house. Collect keys or seemingly ordinary items that hold the key to your freedom.

The puzzles are not simple logic tests but they also unfold another layer of horror and mystery. You need to solve out visual and numerical challenges that will push your mind. The floor creaks as though someoneâor somethingâis moving just beyond your sight. Time is running out, and the house is growing impatient. Will you escape, or will the house claim you as its latest victim?

How to Play The House

• You begin by waking up in a haunting bedroom alone. Explore the room for anything that might help you escape.
• Items are scattered around, some hidden in plain sight, others locked away in the most unexpected places.
• Collect these, as they'll be crucial to solving the house's puzzles.
• Some items are not collectible objects, but they'll help you understand the environment better in some way.
• You can see your backpack by clicking on the items icon on the top of your screen.
• You might need to write some notes down through the game to solve puzzles.
• Solve each puzzle to unlock new rooms and secrets. But beware, the house is not a passive observer.
• The more you solve, the weirder changes you'll notice around the house.

What is The House?

The House is an open-source escape puzzle with a scary theme. The game doesn't rely solely on jump scares. The music and art style of the House creates a chill atmosphere. If you attentively play it, you can escape the house and reach the game's end within roughly 30 minutes.
